Counts Giunta Tremi have created a peaceful lifestyle at “Le Torri di Bagnara”. They are used to welcome Guests and offer first class hospitality, luxury villas, with friendly, charming service that provides complete comfort to their Guests. Their philosophy derives from the strong passion which they put into their work.
Counts Giunta Tremi are direct descendants on the line of primogeniture of Joseph Bonaparte (King of Spain and King of Naples) and direct descendants of Lucien Bonaparte (Prince of Canino and Musignano), brothers of emperor Napoleon 1st.
The owners run the Estate according to the following values: love and respect of nature, care and enhancement of the environment, hospitality and culture. With almost 1500 acres of Umbrian landscaping defined by a living fence of small lakes, 5 medieval castles, rivers, many varieties of plants, trees and wild animals, the Bagnara Estate is a paradise. The whole estate is a natural reserve where hunting is forbidden.
Since the beginning, the owners’ ‘philosophy’ has been to regenerate and restore the estate, preserving its rich history, uphold traditions yet to keep improving. Most of the 20 old farmhouses scattered in the estate have been preserved thanks to the restoration of roofs and garrets.
The working farm raises “Chianina” cattle, roe-deer and hare; sunflowers, corn and wheat are grown in the plain while PGI olive trees are on the hills. The farm does not use genetically modified plants. Instead it relies on things like manure and crop rotation to keep land and crops healthy and productive. The animals are all fed with natural forages and feed produced by the farm itself.
